AHD / HD analog cameras
AHD cameras send video over coaxial cable to a DVR. They are economical, simple and a good fit for homes and shops, and they let you reuse older coaxial wiring when upgrading from standard analog systems. Image quality is good but expansion options are more limited than IP.
IP cameras (PoE)
IP cameras send video over a network cable to an NVR, and Power over Ethernet means one cable carries both power and data. They offer higher resolution, flexible placement, easy expansion and smart features such as AI detection. They suit offices, larger homes, warehouses and any site that will grow.
Wi-Fi cameras
Wi-Fi cameras are quick to set up, popular for small homes and shops, and often record to a memory card or the cloud. Their weakness is the wireless link: weak signal causes lag and dropped recordings, so coverage must be checked first. They also still need power at each camera.
4G / SIM cameras
4G cameras use a data SIM instead of broadband, so they work at farmhouses, construction sites, godowns and shops where no internet is available. Running costs include the data plan, and picture quality depends on mobile signal strength.

Best value for a home or shop: AHD or a small IP system.
Best for offices and growth: IP with PoE.
